Mediation Information
Allen Rosenfeld, a partner with Ellenberg, Ogier, Rothschild
& Rosenfeld, P.C., has more than a decade of litigation experience and has been
extensively trained in the mediation process.
Mediation in Georgia is a process by which a neutral third
party helps disputing parties and their attorneys work out a solution to their
disagreement that is satisfactory to all involved. The
mediator facilitates discussion and keeps parties focused on their interests and
options to resolve the dispute. In addition, a mediator may offer a new
perspective or assist in exploring alternatives that the parties might not have
otherwise considered. While the mediator assists in settlement, negotiations, it
is the parties that ultimately make the decisions, which often leads to a
win-win solution to their dispute.
Mediation is voluntary and confidential and can be considerably less expensive
than going to trial. Rates start as low as $140 per hour for each party.
